Connect

We match a business leader with someone running a social organisation. They work together, and both of them get something out of it.

How both sides gain

Most businesses focus on performance and lack purpose. Many charities lack performance and focus on purpose. Put one of each in a room every month and you get the balance that neither of them had on their own.

That is Performance on Purpose, and it is the reason Connect exists rather than a goodwill scheme where one side gives and the other receives.

What each of them takes away

The social sector leader

Reading a set of numbers and doing something about them. Pricing. Hiring, delegating and letting go. Making a decision without full information. The things a business owner picks up in five years and forgets they ever learned.

The business leader

Leading people who are not there for the money. Running something on a fraction of the budget. Governance and real scrutiny. And most of them tell us they get back the answer to why they are doing any of it.

How it runs

Tell us where you are stuck

A short conversation about the organisation, the job and the specific problem. We match on the problem, not on job titles.

We pair you

One to one, and we tell you why we picked them before you meet.

An hour a month, for six months

In person or on a call. Long enough to get somewhere, short enough that nobody feels trapped.

We check in

Once halfway and once at the end, with both of you. If a pairing is not working we change it.

If you run a business

  • An hour a month, for six months
  • Matched to a problem you have already solved
  • No fee, on either side
  • The hours are counted, and written up for your CSR or B Corp reporting
